Solid 3D-printable surrogate egg model from the Chajma & Sládeček (2026) dataset, intended primarily for husbandry applications.
The download provides the first recommended surrogate model listed for this species in the published species-selection table. Candidate models were selected using predefined tolerances for egg size and shape and ranked by similarity in estimated egg volume. The recommended model may therefore have been developed originally for a different species. No download is provided when no suitable surrogate model was identified.
Before use, verify the dimensions and mass of the printed egg and adjust its colour and surface finish as appropriate for the intended species. Acceptance should be evaluated before use with valuable eggs or in breeding interventions.
The full dataset contains several types of biomimetic surrogate egg models for incubation research and conservation breeding, including solid, fillable and datalogger designs, together with detailed metadata, the complete surrogate-species selection table, mass and infill recommendations, and printing and finishing guidance. Only the solid STL model is provided through Incubase.
